Welcome Back To A New Home
It’s like I’ve always lived here
There is no special way to begin this post other than to say, ‘It’s me and I am back’ 😊 Welcome to my new home or to be more specific, the old furniture in a new home.
After 8 years of being self-hosted, I’ve moved over to a simple WordPress plan which has brought me back full circle to my first love, namely, blogging. You’d notice that my domain name is now www.shailajav.in and no longer shailajav.com and that’s a story all by itself.
In a nutshell, this was the simpler option for me, given that there were some technical issues with using that domain for this website, but I won’t bore you with those details.
I have that same fresh love for this place that I would have for a new home. It’s like walking into a new abode, checking the sunlight in each of the rooms, testing the plumbing and seeing if the roof has any leaks. Exploring this place feels both familiar and new — familiar because it’s still WordPress so the nuts and bolts are all the same; new because it’s like starting over from scratch, with no audience and there’s a bit of a thrill to that whole experience.
I can’t wait to share with you everything that’s been going on in my world and I look forward to connecting with you once again through this space. For those on WordPress, you should be able to see a ‘Subscribe’ or ‘Follow’ Blog option in the sidebar in case you want to receive updates by email when I publish a new post.
