She snuggled deeper into the blanket to keep away from him.

But he wouldn’t stop.

Tentatively at first and then boldly, his fingers snaked under the covers and caressed her bare skin.

Flinching, she rolled over, and cursed herself for not wearing a second vest.

Tighter, she drew the edges and tucked them under her feet, willing them to stay there.

He was persistent. Edges wouldn’t keep him out, who was she kidding?

Within minutes, he was inside, her bare toes freezing at his touch. Sighing in frustration, she got up and threw off the covers. Guess she’d have to wear a second layer of clothing after all.

Damn you, Jack Frost! Stay away and let me be warm!
